Molluscum Contagiosum misdiagnosis?

The gyno diagnosed me with one small wart near my anus. I am a hypochondriac, so when I noticed a slightly painful bump on my upper pubic region where I shave (did not look like GW), I went directly to the dermatologist. I thought it might be an infected ingrown hair as I get them all the time. I also had small pimple like bumps spread about the area. I told the derm the current diagnosis of the wart near my anus and asked her to check the bumps on my pubic region. She looked at the painful bump and diagnosed it as an ingrown hair, then looked at the other bumps and diagnosed them as genital warts. They are very small and she asked to look at the wart near my anus. So she did, then she changed her initial diagnosis of the bumps on my pubic region from GW to Molluscum Contagiosum in seconds. My prob is she didn't use a magnifying glass and was quick to diagnose one thing then change her diagnosis. The bumps don't look like MC and there are hairs growing from them. Does this sound right?

Molluscum Contagiosum misdiagnosis?

You are right you are a hypochondriac.

I'm sure that the specialist dermatologist knows what molluscum Contagiosum looks like, and you probably haven't seen that many before.

Relax a bit or you'll drive yourself crazy.
