Bikini area???

I don't like to have hair in or around the bikini area but I am not sure of how to take care of it. I have shaved with soap and shaving cream with the hair and against it and I still get the bumps and ingrown hairs. I would like to know if there is any way to get rid of the hair without fast regrowth or bumps.

Bikini area???

Try waxing. but dont burn yourself.

Bikini area???

Wax on. . . wax off. . .

Bikini area???

a bikini wax!!they hurt like hell though

Bikini area???

if those expensive bikini waxes freak you out. try veet. i think it's bladeless and people say it works

Bikini area???

Get a washcloth and soak it in very hot water, as hot as you can stand, and then press it to your bikini area. Do this a couple of times; the warmth and moisture will help open the hair follicles and give you a better shave. Use a lanolin-rich shaving cream, or baby oil; NEVER use soap, which will dry your skin quickly and cause irritation. When you are shaved, apply the hot, moist washcloth again, and then rub lotion over the whole area twice a day, ideally after a shower (or do the washcloth thing again) in order to seal moisture into your skin. Do this each time you shave the area and the irritation will be less each time, and when the hair grows back it will be softer and easier to shave.

But yes, if you want longer-term hair removal, you have to get a brazilian wax or laser hair removal.

Bikini area???

Jergens Shave Minimizing Lotion.

Bikini area???

What ever you do....DO NOT do the at home waxing...bad idea. I always think that I can do everything myself, and I usually can do my nails..hair color..and things like that, but the at home waxing.....I am warning you....don't ever do it! eeeek.

Help it's girl stuff!!?

I am freakin' out. I have a blister like bump on the lip of my vagina. It's small it might be an ingrown hair. So girls I was wondering have you ever had and ingrown hair down there and what was it like so I can compare?

Help it's girl stuff!!?

I get them sometimes.

Just apply a hot water compress to it %26amp; keep an eye on it. Watch to see if pus comes out.

If it keeps coming back, you may have an infection that needs to be looked at. Don't panick yet....

Help it's girl stuff!!?

I have had an ingrown hair down there. Just try to pop it, squeeze it and see if anything comes out. If you get more see a doctor? Are you sexually active?

Help it's girl stuff!!?

Have you had unprotected sex? it could be an STI. You should get it checked out just in case

Ingrown hair around the vagina could become serious as well. If it becomes infected you could die. Go get it checked out for safety's sake, okay?

Is it sore? ingrown hairs hurt and usually swell a little.

Help it's girl stuff!!?

People also can get boils down there, which is kind of like a large, and usually painful if you mess with it, pimple-like thing. If that's what it is, you can actually either put a needle through it or squeeze it until it bursts. Yes, it can be a bit painful, but it gets rid of them. (make sure you sterilize the needle)

Help it's girl stuff!!?

My friend's mom is a gynecologist and this same thing happened to me. I worried too, and then she told me that the closer outside the vagina it is, it could be a zit (I know, it's really disgusting.) Hold a warm wash cloth to it, don't pop it, and just wait for it to leave. And try not to tell anyone lol.

Help it's girl stuff!!?

Hey i had that once before and people told me it was a pimple it was gross to hear but apperently its true so it could be that.

Help it's girl stuff!!?

If it is an ingrown hair, try and tweeze the hair out (pluck it). That will help 1) get rid of the ingrown hair and 2) get out any puss/infection. Good luck..

A lil shaving advice please!?

Basicaly i shaved the hair on my face, the cheek hair, and now i got loadsa little and big bumps!! It dont look good, i usualy electric shave and its fine but mine broke and im broke so cant replace it yet, have to wait for my dad to replace it :)

Umm my question is, what is it? ( I think its ingrown hairs cos i shaved the opposite direction the hair grows in, plus its not red and stinging) Any ideas how i can get rid of them fast?

Plus, i used gilette fusion, a fresh never-used blade, so i dnt no why my skin reacts like this!

Thanks guys

A lil shaving advice please!?

Before shaving use hot water or a hot cloth on your face, this will open the pours and make it loads easier. Then when your finished use cold water or cloth to sooth any razor burn and close the pours. I find shaving oil is way better than foam or soap to shave.

It does sound like ingrowing hairs, they're a pain, you could try exfoliating them, either buy a product or make your own using a good face soap and some granulated sugar. mix it up in your hand and rub it into your skin in little circles, watch out for your eyes, then just rise it off with warm water.

Hope this helps.

A lil shaving advice please!?

always shave the direction the hair grows , shaving the other way is pulling the hair from the root and leaving the bumps

A lil shaving advice please!?

Never shave in the opposite direction - that's where you're going wrong. Not sure what you can do now, as you have irritated them, just put on soem cream, and it will g down soonish.

A lil shaving advice please!?

get a hot cloth and hold it on your face to open the pores. then shave again

A lil shaving advice please!?

You may just have sensitive skin , and because you don't regularly wet shave you have just irritated your skin.

The blade you are using is fine , I also use this type and have always had sensitive skin type.

Before you wet shave you should wash your face in normal soap and warm water then rinse but do not dry . You then add you shave foam / gel , again try the type for sensitive skin . I usually do a shave with the growth , then re lather and do a quick shave the opposite .

It may be that your skin just needs to get used to a wet shave

A lil shaving advice please!?

if you are going to use an electric trimmer, then by all means trim in the opposite direction of hair growth. if you are going to use a razor ALWAYS shave in the direction of hair growth.

A lil shaving advice please!?

Spaarky..... Hot water lather well and rub it in. have in direction of hair growth, and after your done, Apply BUMP PATROL, you get it at Wal Mart. No more problems! Good Luck, it's Cheap, and it works

Worried about puppys foot?

My small dog(11pounds) has a blister like bump under his paw pad. Its about the size of a dime. He has been chewing at it all day and it has started to bleed. I asked my Vet but he said it might be an ingrown hair I think it looks to big to be an ingrown hair. He told me to give it a week. What does it sound like to you? And what should I do?

Worried about puppys foot?

I think I would call the vet back and explain the size and that your dog is chewing on it and it is bleeding!! If this gets you no where then I suggest a different vet! My dog had a bubble on the top of her head I took her in and it was a sist. non-cancer cells so that was good!! I have to take her in about every 6 monthes to have it drained because it keeps coming back!! Good Luck

Worried about puppys foot?

Take it to the vets.

Worried about puppys foot?

Call another vet and ask them. If not make sure the dog stops chewing on it.

Worried about puppys foot?

You did the right thing by talking to your vet about it!

Since your vet seems to think it should go away on its own, it's your responsibility to keep it untouchable to the dog. Put a cone on his head to keep him from biting the foot. Buying a bootie for his foot will keep it from becoming aggravated from walking.

Keep it as clean as possible so that it does not become infected. If you notice any change in the pad's condition, go to see the vet again.

Worried about puppys foot?

If you live some were cold, dogs need booties b/c the salt on the ground isn't good for them

Worried about puppys foot?

why are you worried? is your dog limping around the house? maybe someone stepped on it?

Worried about puppys foot?

I suggest that you wrap the blister up somehow (to prevent your dog from chewing @ it and getting a possible infection and try calling your vet again and discuss that it does not look like an ingrow hair blister because it's too big. Tell your vet you will be more comfortable if he took a look @ it if it doesn't go down in a couple of days or so. The other option is to call another vets office and talk to them and get a 2nd opinion. Good Luck.

Worried about puppys foot?

Could be an ingrown hair, could be something is in there. Personally, I would get hold of a different vet, and take him to a vet. Your dog is chewing it for some reason...itches, hurts or he is trying to heal something. Keep it clean and get him to a vet.

Worried about puppys foot?

Sounds like a splinter to me, and it's hard to tell on a dog. She also could have stepped on a bug and got stung. Do the cone thing, and take your vet's advice. I'd also put antibiotic ointment on it to preven infection in case of a splinter or open wound.

Worried about puppys foot?

Your pup may have a small splinter in his paw or some other object in it.Get a magnifying glass and see if you can see anything in it. Clean it , put a medicated ointment on it and you may have to bandage it to keep him from chewing it. Just don't bandage to tight, don't want to cut his blood off. Keep it clean and keep ointment on it for a week..If it doesn't heal by then...Find another vet...

Worried about puppys foot?

I am thinking that it might be a thorn, a burr or some other form of a splinter, if you can't see anything then call the vet back and ask him if he could just take a quick peek because you are worried about the pup and would feel better if he looked at it

Lump under Armpit?

I am 17. Help, I have a lump under my armpit? at first i thought it was an ingrown hair or something but its gotten really big and whenever i touch it it hurts? its about the size of a dime and it sticks out. It has that white thing on top of it so im not sure if its an ingrown hair or not? Help please.

Lump under Armpit?

Could be an infected lymph node, see a Dr

Lump under Armpit?

Get it checked by a doctor, it could be an infected lump.

Lump under Armpit?

You need to see your doctor ASAP. This could be indicative of several diseases, two of which can be very serious (lymph node issues %26amp; breast cysts).

Lump under Armpit?

My sis had one of those and it turned outto be MRSA (staff infection)!! She went to a doctor and got it fixed. GET TO A DOCTOR BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!

What is it??

I have what appears to be a blood blister near my nether regions. It does not itch, and only hurts if I touch it. It resembles an ingrown hair in a way. I know that it isn't any type of STD or anything, but I'm concerned with getting it to go away. Is it a bad idea to pop it if it is a blood blister? Could it maybe be an infected ingrown hair? If so, how would I go about treating it?

What is it??

I wouldn't pop it or squeeze it. If it's a blood blister, it will naturally be reabsorbed or pushed out of your skin. If it's a boil, cyst-like pimple, or an infected ingrown hair, physically manipulating it can cause skin tissue in that area to break and the infection to spread. I'd take a warm-hot shallow bath of plain water several times a day for a few days (about four) and see if that relieves it at all. If it's not starting to go away, or gets worse, I'd go see a dermatologist or gynecologist. They can incise and drain it properly and take care that you don't develop a secondary infection. Don't be embarrassed about having them work on your "nether area". They've seen it all and even far worse than you could ever offer. ;) If it's not getting better, gets painful, or gets larger, go to the doctor right away. Don't wait too long. An infected ingrown hair can develop into an abscess that's painful and more complicated to treat, but in its early stages it's a simple thing.

What is it??

try using a hot rag and let it sit on it till the rag cools off. do this a couple times to see if it comes to a head, like a zit would do. It could be a boil. they hurt like heck. or grin and bear it and pop the sucker. make sure it is not something freaky going on down yander. good luck

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

okay so i have been shaving "down there" for about 10 years now and well the other day i used a razor that wasnt as "new" as i thought it was and ended up with horrible razor burn, i mean, the kind with the itchy red bumps that look like ingrown hairs, there are several of them. what can i do? how do i get rid of them quickly and safely?? last time i had an ingrown hair it turned into a staph infection :(

thanks in advance

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

Apply ice when the itch gets unbearable. You need to use something like diaper rash ointment, or any thick and creamy lotion. Something that will stay put and not rub off onto your underwear.

I highly recommend that you go to a salon and get waxed. You will never have to deal with razor burn again. The hair will grow in softer and finer each time you get waxed as opposed to shaving which makes the hair grow in thicker courser and faster. Best of all, you won't have to worry about ingrown hairs from shaving, and you only have to have it done every 4-6 weeks, unlike shaving which to look right needs to be done a couple times a week.

While waxing isn't exactly pain free, it does get better over time. The longer you wax, the less often it has to be done too. I have been waxing for just a little over 3 years now, the first time was when I got married. I now only have to go in for maintenance waxes once every 2 months. I don't do anything extreme, just a bikini wax, as my husband prefers that I still look like a woman down there.

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

ooooooooo ouch. not sure, maybe lotion? its not fun to have it happen.

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

Skintimate shave gel makes a razor burn gel that works miracles!

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

Ugh. It sucks. Just let it heal.

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

i know that if you have a heating pad then put it on low and heat that skin for no more then 5 minutes and lotion, just be really gentle

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

just treat your razor burn just as you would anywhere else. make sure your hands are clean if you go anywhere near. wash our hands before%26amp;after.

and i HIGHLY SUGGEST- not to shave there anymore. it may seem as an easy alternative but it makes the hair grown thicker-faster and stronger.

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

soak some cotton balls in witch hazel and let it sit on the skin for a couple minutes

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

Please oh please, join me in the movement to stamp out this crazy trend! STOP shaving down there for goodness' sake! I for one don't WANT to see what looks like a prepubescent pube... I LIKE exploring for treasure!

OUCH!!! razor burn.... down there :( -- PLEASE HELP?

Hi Bi

You should try what they use on babies. A%26amp;D they sell it in the baby section, it curses rashes dry skin and other stuff . It works i shave my personal parts and sometimes i nick it or gets red if the razor is not new.

Hugs good luck
